What to Do If You Get Banned from the Streaming Platform

If you get banned from the streaming platform, your channel will become inaccessible as if it no longer exists. As a result, BotRix and other third-party services will disconnect from your channel since they detect that it no longer exists. Additionally, the platform revokes all authentication tokens, meaning they can no longer be used with your account.

Once you are unbanned, you need to follow three simple steps to restore everything to normal:

Step 1: Refresh Your Tokens

If you were already logged into BotRix, it is crucial that you log out first. Then, go to the BotRix homepage and log in again using the streaming platform that was unbanned. This will refresh your authentication tokens.

Step 2: Reassign the Bot's Moderator Role

After logging in, go to your streaming platform and grant the moderator role to the BotRix bot again. The ban may have caused the bot to lose its moderator permissions, so reassigning it is necessary.

Step 3: Restart the Bot in BotRix

Go to the ChatBot menu in BotRix:

  • If the bot was turned off, simply turn it on.

  • If the bot was already on, turn it off, wait 30 seconds, and then turn it back on.

Once you have completed these three simple steps, it may take a few minutes for everything to return to normal. However, after a short wait, you should be able to start streaming as usual.

Important Note: If you complete these steps while already live, some features may not work immediately. In this case, you may need to end your current stream and restart it later or the following day for everything to function properly again.
