How to Resolve Account Linking Issues on Kick Streaming Platform
If you're trying to link an account on the Kick streaming platform but receive the message "This username is already linked to another account," it's possible that you registered in the past with a different platform than the one you're currently logged into. Rest assured, this is not a web bug, and you are the only person who can fix it."
There are two possible causes for this issue. The most common one is that you registered with a different platform, such as Trovo, several days or weeks ago. Now, when you're trying to log in from the Kick homepage, for example, using your YouTube account, it won't allow you to register because your Kick account is already linked to Trovo.
The solution to this is simple: take a few minutes to recall which account you registered with in the past. This is the best and easiest solution.
Another possible cause, especially for streamers with a large following, is that another user previously had the same username and linked it to BotRix. In this case, the streamer requested their account name from Kick, and they removed the account associated with the previous user. However, the account remains linked to BotRix.
In such rare cases, the only solution is to contact BotRix support. However, this is uncommon for users without thousands of followers.
There is an alternative solution, which is to use the "!unlink" command in the BotRix chat on Kick (https://kick.com/botrix/chatroom).
However, please note that this option is not recommended as it will reset all your previous configurations, including alerts, chatbot settings, loyalty articles, etc.
Remember, taking a moment to remember which account you used to register in the past is usually the best and simplest solution to resolve account linking issues on Kick streaming platform.
